Dax Hits Hard With Double Emotional Single (Ft. Nasty C)
Toronto Music Star Dax doesn’t take any days off, when it comes to creating rap music. Indeed, this month he dropped two inspiring singles off his latest album “Pain Paints paintings”, paired with creative visuals.
dax — 40 Days 40 Nights (Feat. Nasty C)
The first single, “40 Days, 40 Nights” which features South African prodigy Nasty C encapsulates the struggles and efforts required to achieve success.
The production displays stirring piano notes, backed by an upbeat drum pattern while incorporating a versatile vocal delivery outlook. In fact, while Dax navigates between a smooth sung hook and punchy rap verses, Nasty C focuses solely on delivering a melodic verse approach — creating a fluid and balanced outcome.
Furthermore, the song is accompanied with visuals, which feature Dax in different scenes, embracing different roles — including a bodybuilder, an NBA Player, a Doctor etc.
dax — Suffocating
The second single entitled “Suffocating” captures the negative energies and thoughts that come with the gain of fame.
Indeed, alongside the figurative lyrical framework painting the artist’s pain, the song showcases a quiet and emotive soundscape. In fact, Dax really understands how to move his audience, with his deep words always backed by the suitable melodies in order to exude the proper feeling.
Furthermore, like the previous song, this one also benefits from creative visuals, placing the rapper in different environments, yet with the same moody and lonely mindset.
From Lonely moments in his spacious flat to playful moments in parties, the context is still the same — Dax feels like suffocating because he’s in pain.
