Mike Spector Addresses Romance And Passion In New Single “Take Me To The Moon”
Massachusetts singer-songwriter Mike Spector's "Take Me To The Moon" is a musical pearl with crisp lyrical dexterity, impressive vocal agility and a rousing rhythm. The production introduces itself with quirky guitar and ukulele riffs, blossoming into a wave of etheric emotions divided between melancholy and bliss. Indeed, the message conveyed through Mike's refined performance encapsulates the idea of romance, desire and passion in the gay world. Mike explains it in his own words by saying.
When I was writing this song with my producer, Arlo, I wanted to capture the joy and euphoria of an ABBA song, and the yearning and wistfulness of a Frank Ocean song. It is the product of months and months of tweaking and re-working until we got it just right, until the vision was brought to fruition. It's about gay romance, desire, sex, and the transporting power that these things contain.
