Charles Fauna Says “Ciao” In The Most Groovy Way Possible.
Based on the theory that opposites attract and the obvious balancing act between dark and light, the latest track "Ciao" from dual citizen of Los Angeles and Brooklyn artist Charles Fauna, is presented on an alternative pop structure, enhanced by a feel-good funky bass.
The production foregrounds a dance-ish vibe, with an infectious and emotive Vocal performance, juxtaposed with a melancholic, introspective songwriting. Indeed, Charles Fauna exhorts to stop overthinking and start doing more, especially given the symptoms of overthinking, such as anxiety and depression. In other words, he encourages one to adapt to one's environment and let oneself be carried along by the moment, to avoid getting lost in loneliness. Here’s what Charles has to say about the song:
"'Ciao' is both “hello” and “goodbye” in Italian which I felt spoke to the heart of this song. One thing ends and another thing begins. Creation and destruction. The cycles of life. At the end of a relatively dark record about loneliness, soul searching and change, Ciao invites the listener, like the protagonist, to shut up and dance."
